Scientific Raccoon Research Project (2022 to 2025) Announcement

Lonestar Pets and Wildlife Sanctuary and Rescue Texas Wildlife are currently planning a scientific raccoon release research project to begin this fall, October 2022. 

The research is to compare rehabilitated urban raccoons that were bottle-fed and handled by humans as a baby does when released to rehabbed raccoons that were not bottle-fed and handled by humans.

This research project will cost an estimated $15,000 and will take approximately three years to collect data and complete.
